Easter is only a month away! We need to begin now to reflect on the sacrifice of love that our Savior Jesus Christ made for us. The ultimate punishment and humiliation He received on Calvary was for us. In the distance there stands a cross that stands for the hope we have in Christ Jesus. It stands for the freedom we gained through His bondage. It stands for the healing we receive through His shed blood. It stands for the deliverance we receive through His scourging. It stands for the Salvation we receive through His resurrection. It stands for the unmerited favor of God. Grace and mercy came running down that old rugged cross to bring us salvation. We stand in the shadow of the cross and remember all that He has brought us through, and how he has delivered us. This Easter I hope we will remember that there still stands a cross that through history will represent all that we hold dear as Christians. Our very faith is anchored in the cross of Christ Jesus.
The Sanctuary Choir will present “There Stands A Cross” on Palm Sunday evening, March 28 at 6:00 p.m.. I hope that you will come and join us as we reflect and remember the sacrifice that was made on that cross.
May God bless you and keep you,
Lanny
