The holiday season has quickly come and gone, and with that being said, I truly hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  As we turn the page to a new year that generally means one thing around NCBC Student Ministries: DISCIPLENOW!!!!!  DiscipleNow is a weekend event where students come together, staying in homes of church members, and spending the weekend being discipled.  DNow is my favorite event of the year, but logistically it is a nightmare.  It takes a coordinated effort by many, many people around our church to make this event even happen, and even better effort to make it a success.  Would you consider helping make it a success?  Below you will find all the specific needs that we have for our DNow weekend February 24-26.  If something jumps out at you, please let me know.  I would love to hear from you that you want to be apart of the DNow team this year!

 -Hosts: we will need folks to open their homes to groups of 5-10 students for the weekend.  These people will need to be able to help with transportation and getting the students to church on time.  Also, the hosts are in charge of their own homes, so when the students are camped out there, the host should help make sure everything runs smoothly (and the students act right!).

-Co-Host: These folks are people that cannot open up their home for the weekend but would like to help the host in another home with transportation, food, and just whatever may arise.  These wonderful folks are not required to stay in the home, unless you really want to!

-Sunday School Classes!!!:  You guys are VERY important because our students need to eat…and NO ONE cooks like BAPTIST WOMEN (and men, you guys aren’t bad yourselves!). God bless you all!!!  We are asking adult and senior adult Sunday School classes to adopt a DNow home and provide one meal for them during the weekend.  If you would be willing to help with this please designate a point person from your class and have that person call the church office.

-Video Extraordinaires: If your handy with a camcorder or camera and would like to help us video/shoot the weekend, we would love to have you help out.

-Setup/Tear Down Folks: Obviously we will have to do some work to get the gymnasium ready to go with decorations and sound equipment.  I am not a decorator, but would love for some people who love to be creative and decorate to help with getting the gym in line with our theme.  If you would be willing to help that would be great.

DiscipleNow is so much of a picture of what the church is.  It’s different people, with different abilities and passions, coming together to pull off an event that could have an eternal impact.  Please consider being apart of DNow 2012…this truly will take a TOTAL TEAM EFFORT to be successful!
