where love is alive

“The Face of God”

Sunday, November 3 – 6:00 p.m.

Everyone Welcome!

A Love Offering will be taken for the Christian

Alliance for Orphans

On Sunday, November 3 at 6:00 p.m., the Sanctuary Choir will present a night of worship called “The Face of God.” This musical, arranged by Tim Paul, is centered around the heart of God for the orphans of our world.

Have you ever thought about your response to the plight of the fatherless and motherless children?  Did you know that there are over 17.8 million children worldwide who have lost both of their parents, and over half a million of those are here in the United States?  Did you know there is a way that we can help?  There are many organizations that help children around the world find hope through education, clean water, food, clothing, and many other needs that we simply take for granted.  Our calling is clear, “Learn to do right; seek justice.   Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless;  plead the case of the widow.” (Isaiah 1:17)  “ A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families,” (Psalm 68: 5-6)  “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” (James 1:27)  We have been given clear guidelines showing us that we are supposed to help those who have no one.  We are supposed to defend them, feed them, care for them, love them, and support them.  We are to be the hands and feet of Jesus to these little ones who so desperately need someone to meet their needs.

On the night of the musical we will be taking up an offering for the Christian Alliance for Orphans.  This money will go to help these millions of children who are without parents.

There are other ways to help throughout the year. You can give through ministries such as World Vision where you sponsor a child and to help give them an education, a better future, a place to stay, and food on their table.   There are many other organizations  available to help the orphans of our world.  Choose one and help fulfill the call of scripture to help children in need.

Come and join us as we celebrate our Abba Father, the everlasting God and His heart to see these children reached out to with supplies and also the gospel.

God Bless

Lanny
