where love is alive

Praise and Proclamation

        We will have a night of worship together to celebrate the end of our discipleship classes on Sunday evening September 29th.  All are welcome!  Feel free to invite friends and family to come and join you for this worship experience.

We will be focusing on praising our King and Savior.  It is so easy to praise Him and get excited about God when everything is going our way and all is good, but it’s a totally different story when we are facing hardships, difficult times, and periods of brokenness.  We have a choice to praise and to lift Him up even in the hard times, or to let them bring us down and steal our praise.  No matter what our circumstances, God is still God, and He is still on His throne, and worthy of praise.  Even if He never sent Jesus to die as a ransom for our sins, it doesn’t change the fact that He is worthy of our reverence and praise.  The God who created the universe, who spun the world into motion is ready and waiting for our praise.  When we praise Him we are lifted.  We receive strength and joy.  When we worship Him, He sings over us.  He is our hope and our refuge, and He will lift us and rejoice over us.

“The LORD your God in your midst,

The Mighty One will save;

He will rejoice over you with gladness,

He will quiet you with His love,

He will rejoice over you with singing.”

Zephaniah 3:17

      Let us choose to praise Him this week even in the hard and difficult times.  Let us praise Him for the victory that awaits us.  Let us praise Him in advance and see what He can do with our faith.  He will see us through, and when we are on the other side we will have one more reason to praise Him.

God Bless,

Lanny
