where love is alive

VBS is done and another year is behind us.  I just want to say a huge thank you to all of the volunteers who have pitched in and worked hard over the last several months leading up to this past week.  It literally takes a village to pull off VBS and months of preparation.  I love the week of VBS even though it is a hard week and it is draining.  I love to see the church come together and be the body of Christ for our children and for children we may never see again.  You all did a fantastic job showing the love of Christ to the kids here for VBS.  It truly is a picture of the body of Christ seeing people from all walks of life and generations come together to serve for one common goal.  To be the hands and feet of our Savior to the kids.

Thank you to the cast and crew who have been working and rehearsing since April.  You all did a wonderful job.  To everyone who came and help put the set up, you all are my heroes.  To those who came this week and helped tear down, wow, you amazed me!  We were done and the doors closed on the trailer by 2:30 Monday afternoon.  I love my church and am thankful to be raising my children here in this body of believers.

One more thank you to Holly who puts in countless hours, and to her family who was also here many of those hours helping her get things done.  It is a family affair!  Trust me on that.  You did a wonderful job.  Thank you for your leadership.

I know this may sound crazy, but I am looking forward to next year’s VBS.  It will be amazing.  If for no other reason that to see NCBC come together once again to serve.

God Bless,
