where love is alive

Spring is here and summer is just around the corner!  This means busy times for all our children’s programs.  Below are some important dates that will highlight our preschoolers and children as the school year is winding down.  We would love for you to attend the recognition events and choir presentations to see what these children have been learning about Jesus, the Bible and missions!

The last AWANA meeting before summer break will be Sunday, April 14th.  You don’t want to miss it! We will have our last AWANA store and the first ever AWANA Olympics (parachute, sack race, ice cream eating contest, and more…and one lucky leader will end up with pies in the face! The AWANA Awards will take place Sunday, May 5th in the evening service, so save the date!

Easterfest is here!  Thank you to all who have donated candy filled eggs and volunteered for the event.  If you are free on Wednesday, April 17th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. come on over for some carnival style fun.  We can always use extra hands.

GA’s & RA’s – Our mission’s classes will continue to meet into the month of May, with the recognition service taking place on Sunday, May 19th in the evening  service.  The GA’s are currently selling handmade crafts to raise money for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.  If you are interested, see the table in the Welcome Center.

Preschool and Children’s Choirs – The choir classes will also continue to meet into May as well.  Sunday, May 19th at 6:00 p.m. the Preschool Choir will sing followed by the Children’s Choir presentation of I Can Only Imagine.  Again, we would love for you to come see all these children have been learning!

Summer may seem far away, but it will be here before we know it, and with summer comes Vacation Bible School!  This is always such a fun, exciting week as we share Jesus with boys and girls in our community.  There will be a VBS workers meeting Sunday, April 14th at 5:00 p.m. in room 609 of the MAC Building.  If you are interested in leading or being a helper in a class, please attend.  I will be more than happy to plug you into a spot that is just right for you!
