Epilogue

Rev. John Fred "Jay" McCluskey

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…” Hebrews 12:l-2a
On August 17, 1986, North Cleveland issued a call to the Rev. John Fred (Jay) McCluskey to become her eleventh pastor. He accepted this call and assumed his duties on September 7, 1986. (182) John Peters was later called to the church as Minister of Music and Youth on July 19, 1987. With the coming of a new pastor and Minister of Music and Youth, North Cleveland enters a new era of divine ministry. Established by individuals who desired God’s will and took an active hand in the fulfillment of that process, the church is composed of people with the same spirit and inspiration. From a crude wooden shed to a red brick building, a strong body of believers with an influence in worldwide Bold Mission Thrust, North Cleveland has always worked to promote Christ’s Kingdom, and has been careful to give Him the credit. As the church looks into the future, she will continue to serve Christ faithfully as His beacon in a world filled with darkness.
