I know my mother was really pleased when we were to have a church right close by to our house. I would walk out my back door right across Farris Street and walk into North Cleveland Baptist. There was no air conditioning back then. We would raise the windows and the men would stand outside because the church was full. There would be a lot of singing and preaching.
